4 Keys to quality Assurance
1. Set expectations and goals. When we first take a look at a project, we try to ask a lot of questions. We want to know exactly what our customers want. Sometimes its as simple as executing their plans and other times we are asked to create, develop, design, and budget the entire project.
By expressing your goals to us and getting them down on paper, we will better be able to provide you with the service you expect.
2. Planning: Before a project begins, a plan is set forth to our customers that involves walk-throughs, or inspections. This usually coincides with our payment schedules, especially on larger projects. Therefore, before we get paid for completing a particular phase of the contract, an inspection needs to be done by our customers, not just by the bank or inspectors.
This process keeps are customers up to speed on their project as well as to visualize the progress before signing off on the payout.
3. Proper Execution: Commitment to doing things right is the key here. Sure there are inspections for some subcontractors, but in a lot of areas, there are no inspections for carpentry work.
Our philosophy is that our projects are to be compliant with all the buiding codes in the entire state of Illinois. No gray areas, no questions, no problems.
4. Total Satisfaction: The ultimate key to insuring quality is customer satisfaction. If our customers aren't happy with our work, we don't get paid. We have set up a retainer program on our larger projects where several payouts are made over the course of the project.
We set aside a percentage of the total contract price to be held by our customer until all work is complete, all punch lists are finished, and our owners are 100% happy with the end result.
